In June, 2017, Jeff and I plan to join my brother, Andrew and his wife, Ena, for a 12 day driving tour of Iceland. I have never been there before but am intrigued by the natural phenomena of volcanoes, hot springs, waterfalls and glaciers to be found there. This will be a self-drive adventure where a company has organized where we will go, how to get there and where we will stay and what we should see.

The capital city of Reykjavik lies at 64 degrees north and roughly 22 degrees west. This will be interesting in June when the sun will seem to stay up forever, so far north.

In order to prepare ourselves for this trip we have watched the Icelandic series, Trapped. This definitely did not take place in June. The action happens during a fierce blizzard. I got really cold just watching it. That's why we are going in June. The weather should be decent by then. I anticipate seafood dinners, warm mineral water soaks and walks on beaches and lava fields.
