Blue Lagoon
Today was the day we visited the Blue Lagoon. It was about 45 minutes by bus from Reykjavik. It is a very large pool with a baby blue water colour. The temperature was just right. We spent almost two hours in here. Included was a silica facial followed by algae. We all had a glass of wine at the swim up bar. Cold water treatment was provided by a shower that pelted icy water on our warm skin. It was fun wTching people swimming around with white faces from the silica.

First day, Reykjavik
After a smooth flight over the North Atlantic and the tip of Greenland, we landed in Reykjavik about midnight. We thought the airport would be deserted at that time. Not so! It was packed with people standing in long lines because there were few seats. The airport has not yet caught up with the tourist boom.
On the 45 minute drive to our hotel in the city we enjoyed the unusual level of light. It felt like dusk but you could still see far into the distance.
We arrived at Hotel Fron where the woman at the desk was not too happy because we did not have vouchers. For a moment we were worried that she would not let us get to our rooms. The rooms are very small and music from a club was coming up from downstairs. That mercifully stopped at 3 am.

Today we explored the town. It was cool and rainy. There is a very interesting church in town. I will try to download a pic.
